Irwin Pomerantz

I first met Irv when he came to Dalton to attend a National Sales Meeting with E & B Carpet Mills. Our association became closer when he was promoted to Midwest Manager for E & B in Chicago. We really became family with Irv and Lois when Galaxy Carpet Mills, Inc was established in June of 1968. Through the years Betty and I would fellowship and dine with Lois and Irv at industry markets, not to mention all the travels to foreign lands we shared together. My most memorable one was to Switzerland, driving through the Alps, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and meeting the cow trains. My friend Irv was the best in dealing with people I have ever seen. He was a mentor and motivator of men. God gave him a special gift to connect with such a diverse array of people. He was loved by many in our industry and especially all the Galaxy family. I loved my friend and will greatly miss him!
